اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ﴿1﴾
Recite in the name of your Lord who created - (English: Saheeh International)
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). (English: Sarwar)
خَلَقَ الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ عَلَقٍ﴿2﴾
Created man from a clinging substance. (English: Saheeh International)
He created man from a clot of blood. (English: Sarwar)
اقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ الْأَكْرَمُ﴿3﴾
Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous - (English: Saheeh International)
Recite! Your Lord is the most Honorable One,N (English: Sarwar)
الَّذِي عَلَّمَ بِالْقَلَمِ﴿4﴾
Who taught by the pen - (English: Saheeh International)
who, by the pen, taught the human being: (English: Sarwar)
عَلَّمَ الْإِنْسَانَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْ﴿5﴾
Taught man that which he knew not. (English: Saheeh International)
He taught the human being what he did not know. (English: Sarwar)
كَلَّا إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ لَيَطْغَى﴿6﴾
No! [But] indeed, man transgresses (English: Saheeh International)
Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel (English: Sarwar)
أَنْ رَآهُ اسْتَغْنَى﴿7﴾
Because he sees himself self-sufficient. (English: Saheeh International)
because he thinks that he is independent. (English: Sarwar)
إِنَّ إِلَى رَبِّكَ الرُّجْعَى﴿8﴾
Indeed, to your Lord is the return. (English: Saheeh International)
However, (all things) will return to your Lord. (English: Sarwar)
أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يَنْهَى﴿9﴾
Have you seen the one who forbids (English: Saheeh International)
Have you seen the one who prohibits (English: Sarwar)
عَبْدًا إِذَا صَلَّى﴿10﴾
A servant when he prays? (English: Saheeh International)
a servant of Ours from prayer? (English: Sarwar)
