لَا أُقْسِمُ بِيَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ﴿1﴾
I swear by the Day of Resurrection (English: Saheeh International)
I swear by the Day of Resurrection (English: Sarwar)
وَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِالنَّفْسِ اللَّوَّامَةِ﴿2﴾
And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. (English: Saheeh International)
and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). (English: Sarwar)
أَيَحْسَبُ الْإِنْسَانُ أَلَّنْ نَجْمَعَ عِظَامَهُ﴿3﴾
Does man think that We will not assemble his bones? (English: Saheeh International)
Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? (English: Sarwar)
بَلَى قَادِرِينَ عَلَى أَنْ نُسَوِّيَ بَنَانَهُ﴿4﴾
Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips. (English: Saheeh International)
We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. (English: Sarwar)
بَلْ يُرِيدُ الْإِنْسَانُ لِيَفْجُرَ أَمَامَهُ﴿5﴾
But man desires to continue in sin. (English: Saheeh International)
In fact, people want to have eternal life in this world. (English: Sarwar)
يَسْأَلُ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ﴿6﴾
He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" (English: Saheeh International)
He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" (English: Sarwar)
فَإِذَا بَرِقَ الْبَصَرُ﴿7﴾
So when vision is dazzled (English: Saheeh International)
When the eye is bewildered,N (English: Sarwar)
وَخَسَفَ الْقَمَرُ﴿8﴾
And the moon darkens (English: Saheeh International)
the moon eclipsed. (English: Sarwar)
وَجُمِعَ الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ﴿9﴾
And the sun and the moon are joined,N (English: Saheeh International)
and the sun and the moon are brought together,N (English: Sarwar)
يَقُولُ الْإِنْسَانُ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَيْنَ الْمَفَرُّ﴿10﴾
Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?" (English: Saheeh International)
people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" (English: Sarwar)
