المص﴿1﴾
Alif, Lam, Meem, Sad. (English: Saheeh International)
Alif. Lam. Mim. Sad. (English: Sarwar)
كِتَابٌ أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ فَلَا يَكُنْ فِي صَدْرِكَ حَرَجٌ مِنْهُ لِتُنْذِرَ بِهِ وَذِكْرَى لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ﴿2﴾
[This is] a Book revealed to you, [O Muhammad] - so let there not be in your breast distress therefrom - that you may warn thereby and as a reminder to the believers. (English: Saheeh International)
A book has been revealed to you, (Muhammad). You should not hesitate to convey its warning and its good advice to the believers. (English: Sarwar)
اتَّبِعُوا مَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا مِنْ دُونِهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ قَلِيلًا مَا تَذَكَّرُونَ﴿3﴾
Follow, [O mankind], what has been revealed to you from your Lord and do not follow other than Him any allies. Little do you remember. (English: Saheeh International)
(People), follow whatever is revealed to you from your Lord and do not follow other guardians besides Him. However, you pay very little attention (to Our words) (English: Sarwar)
وَكَمْ مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَاهَا فَجَاءَهَا بَأْسُنَا بَيَاتًا أَوْ هُمْ قَائِلُونَ﴿4﴾
And how many cities have We destroyed, and Our punishment came to them at night or while they were sleeping at noon. (English: Saheeh International)
How many cities have We destroyed! Our wrath struck their people at night or during their midday siesta. (English: Sarwar)
فَمَا كَانَ دَعْوَاهُمْ إِذْ جَاءَهُمْ بَأْسُنَا إِلَّا أَنْ قَالُوا إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ﴿5﴾
And their declaration when Our punishment came to them was only that they said, "Indeed, we were wrongdoers!" (English: Saheeh International)
When Our wrath struck them, they could do nothing but confess to their sins. (English: Sarwar)
فَلَنَسْأَلَنَّ الَّذِينَ أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَنَسْأَلَنَّ الْمُرْسَلِينَ﴿6﴾
Then We will surely question those to whom [a message] was sent, and We will surely question the messengers. (English: Saheeh International)
We will certainly question the people and the Messengers sent to them. (English: Sarwar)
فَلَنَقُصَّنَّ عَلَيْهِمْ بِعِلْمٍ وَمَا كُنَّا غَائِبِينَ﴿7﴾
Then We will surely relate [their deeds] to them with knowledge, and We were not [at all] absent. (English: Saheeh International)
We will tell them with absolute certainty (what they had done) for We had never been absent from them (during their lifetime). (English: Sarwar)
وَالْوَزْنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْحَقُّ فَمَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ﴿8﴾
And the weighing [of deeds] that Day will be the truth. So those whose scales are heavy - it is they who will be the successful. (English: Saheeh International)
(Everyone\`s deeds) will certainly be weighed (and evaluated) on the Day of Judgment. Those whose good deeds weigh heavier than their bad deeds will have everlasting happiness. (English: Sarwar)
وَمَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَأُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يَظْلِمُونَ﴿9﴾
And those whose scales are light - they are the ones who will lose themselves for what injustice they were doing toward Our verses. (English: Saheeh International)
As for those whose bad deeds weigh heavier, they will lose their souls for their injustice to Our revelations. (English: Sarwar)
وَلَقَدْ مَكَّنَّاكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَجَعَلْنَا لَكُمْ فِيهَا مَعَايِشَ قَلِيلًا مَا تَشْكُرُونَ﴿10﴾
And We have certainly established you upon the earth and made for you therein ways of livelihood. Little are you grateful. (English: Saheeh International)
We have made you inhabit the land and provided you with the means of sustenance. Only a few of you give thanks. (English: Sarwar)
