الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَصَدُّوا عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللهِ أَضَلَّ أَعْمَالَهُمْ﴿1﴾
Those who disbelieve and avert [people] from the way of Allah - He will waste their deeds. (English: Saheeh International)
God has made devoid of all virtue the deeds of those who have disbelieved and prevented others from the way of God. (English: Sarwar)
وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَآمَنُوا بِمَا نُزِّلَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَهُوَ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ كَفَّرَ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ وَأَصْلَحَ بَالَهُمْ﴿2﴾
And those who believe and do righteous deeds and believe in what has been sent down upon Muhammad - and it is the truth from their Lord - He will remove from them their misdeeds and amend their condition. (English: Saheeh International)
God forgives the sins and reforms the hearts of the righteously striving believers who have faith in what is revealed to Muhammad - which is the Truth from his Lord. (English: Sarwar)
ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا اتَّبَعُوا الْبَاطِلَ وَأَنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّبَعُوا الْحَقَّ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ كَذَلِكَ يَضْرِبُ اللهُ لِلنَّاسِ أَمْثَالَهُمْ﴿3﴾
That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, and those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Thus does Allah present to the people their comparisons. (English: Saheeh International)
This is because the disbelievers have followed falsehood and the believers have followed the Truth from their Lord. Thus God explains to the human being their own prospects. (English: Sarwar)
فَإِذَا لَقِيتُمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فَضَرْبَ الرِّقَابِ حَتَّى إِذَا أَثْخَنْتُمُوهُمْ فَشُدُّوا الْوَثَاقَ فَإِمَّا مَنًّا بَعْدُ وَإِمَّا فِدَاءً حَتَّى تَضَعَ الْحَرْبُ أَوْزَارَهَا ذَلِكَ وَلَوْ يَشَاءُ اللهُ لَانْتَصَرَ مِنْهُمْ وَلَكِنْ لِيَبْلُوَ بَعْضَكُمْ بِبَعْضٍ وَالَّذِينَ قُتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ فَلَنْ يُضِلَّ أَعْمَالَهُمْ﴿4﴾
So when you meet those who disbelieve [in battle], strike [their] necks until, when you have inflicted slaughter upon them, then secure their bonds, and either [confer] favor afterwards or ransom [them] until the war lays down its burdens. That [is the command]. And if Allah had willed, He could have taken vengeance upon them [Himself], but [He ordered armed struggle] to test some of you by means of others. And those who are killed in the cause of Allah - never will He waste their deeds. (English: Saheeh International)
If you encounter the disbelievers in a battle, strike-off their heads. Take them as captives when they are defeated. Then you may set them free as a favor to them, with or without a ransom, when the battle is over. This is the Law. Had God wanted, He could have granted them (unbelievers) victory, but He wants to test you through each other. The deeds of those who are killed for the cause of God will never be without virtuous results. (English: Sarwar)
سَيَهْدِيهِمْ وَيُصْلِحُ بَالَهُمْ﴿5﴾
He will guide them and amend their condition (English: Saheeh International)
God will lead them to everlasting happiness and improve their condition. (English: Sarwar)
وَيُدْخِلُهُمُ الْجَنَّةَ عَرَّفَهَا لَهُمْ﴿6﴾
And admit them to Paradise, which He has made known to them. (English: Saheeh International)
He will admit them into the Paradise which He has made known to them. (English: Sarwar)
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنْ تَنْصُرُوا اللهَ يَنْصُرْكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَكُمْ﴿7﴾
O you who have believed, if you support Allah, He will support you and plant firmly your feet. (English: Saheeh International)
Believers, if you help God, He will help you and make you steadfast (in your faith). (English: Sarwar)
وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فَتَعْسًا لَهُمْ وَأَضَلَّ أَعْمَالَهُمْ﴿8﴾
But those who disbelieve - for them is misery, and He will waste their deeds. (English: Saheeh International)
The fate of the disbelievers will be to stumble and their deeds will have no virtuous results; (English: Sarwar)
ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَرِهُوا مَا أَنْزَلَ اللهُ فَأَحْبَطَ أَعْمَالَهُمْ﴿9﴾
That is because they disliked what Allah revealed, so He rendered worthless their deeds. (English: Saheeh International)
they have hated God\`s revelation, and thus, He has made their deeds devoid of all virtue. (English: Sarwar)
أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنْظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ دَمَّرَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلِلْكَافِرِينَ أَمْثَالُهَا﴿10﴾
Have they not traveled through the land and seen how was the end of those before them? Allah destroyed [everything] over them, and for the disbelievers is something comparable. (English: Saheeh International)
Have they not travelled through the land and seen the terrible end of those who lived before them? God brought upon them utter destruction and the disbelievers will also faced similar perdition. (English: Sarwar)
