حم﴿1﴾
Ha, Meem. (English: Saheeh International)
Ha. Mim. (English: Sarwar)
تَنْزِيلُ الْكِتَابِ مِنَ اللهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَكِيمِ﴿2﴾
The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise. (English: Saheeh International)
This Book is revealed from God, the Majestic and All-wise. (English: Sarwar)
إِنَّ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ لَآيَاتٍ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ﴿3﴾
Indeed, within the heavens and earth are signs for the believers. (English: Saheeh International)
In the heavens and the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for the believers. (English: Sarwar)
وَفِي خَلْقِكُمْ وَمَا يَبُثُّ مِنْ دَابَّةٍ آيَاتٌ لِقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ﴿4﴾
And in the creation of yourselves and what He disperses of moving creatures are signs for people who are certain [in faith]. (English: Saheeh International)
In your creation and in that of the beasts living on earth there is evidence of the Truth for the people who have strong faith. (English: Sarwar)
وَاخْتِلَافِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَمَا أَنْزَلَ اللهُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مِنْ رِزْقٍ فَأَحْيَا بِهِ الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا وَتَصْرِيفِ الرِّيَاحِ آيَاتٌ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ﴿5﴾
And [in] the alternation of night and day and [in] what Allah sends down from the sky of provision and gives life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and [in His] directing of the winds are signs for a people who reason. (English: Saheeh International)
In the alternation of the night and the day, the sustenance which God has sent down from the sky to revive the barren earth, and in the changing of the direction of the winds there is evidence of the truth for the people of understanding. (English: Sarwar)
تِلْكَ آيَاتُ اللهِ نَتْلُوهَا عَلَيْكَ بِالْحَقِّ فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَ اللهِ وَآيَاتِهِ يُؤْمِنُونَ﴿6﴾
These are the verses of Allah which We recite to you in truth. Then in what statement after Allah and His verses will they believe? (English: Saheeh International)
These are the revelations of God which We recite to you for a genuine purpose. In what statements other than God\`s and His revelations will they then believe? (English: Sarwar)
وَيْلٌ لِكُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍ﴿7﴾
Woe to every sinful liar (English: Saheeh International)
Woe to every sinful liar! (English: Sarwar)
يَسْمَعُ آيَاتِ اللهِ تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ يُصِرُّ مُسْتَكْبِرًا كَأَنْ لَمْ يَسْمَعْهَا فَبَشِّرْهُ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ﴿8﴾
Who hears the verses of Allah recited to him, then persists arrogantly as if he had not heard them. So give him tidings of a painful punishment. (English: Saheeh International)
He hears the revelations of God which are recited to him, then persists in his arrogance as if he had not even heard them. Tell him that he will suffer a painful torment. (English: Sarwar)
وَإِذَا عَلِمَ مِنْ آيَاتِنَا شَيْئًا اتَّخَذَهَا هُزُوًا أُولَئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُهِينٌ﴿9﴾
And when he knows anything of Our verses, he takes them in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment. (English: Saheeh International)
When he learns about some of Our revelations, he mocks them. Such people will suffer a humiliating torment. (English: Sarwar)
مِنْ وَرَائِهِمْ جَهَنَّمُ وَلَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُمْ مَا كَسَبُوا شَيْئًا وَلَا مَا اتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِ اللهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ﴿10﴾
Before them is Hell, and what they had earned will not avail them at all nor what they had taken besides Allah as allies. And they will have a great punishment. (English: Saheeh International)
Hell is awaiting them and none of their deeds will be of any benefit to them, nor will any guardian whom they have chosen besides God. They will suffer a great torment. (English: Sarwar)
