الم﴿1﴾
Alif, Lam, Meem. (English: Saheeh International)
Alif. Lam. Mim. (English: Sarwar)
تِلْكَ آيَاتُ الْكِتَابِ الْحَكِيمِ﴿2﴾
These are verses of the wise Book,N (English: Saheeh International)
These are the verses of the Book of wisdom. (English: Sarwar)
هُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لِلْمُحْسِنِينَ﴿3﴾
As guidance and mercy for the doers of good (English: Saheeh International)
A guidance and mercy for the righteous (English: Sarwar)
الَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَهُمْ بِالْآخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ﴿4﴾
Who establish prayer and give zakah, and they, of the Hereafter, are certain [in faith]. (English: Saheeh International)
people who are steadfast in prayer, pay the religious tax, and have firm belief in the life to come. (English: Sarwar)
أُولَئِكَ عَلَى هُدًى مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ وَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ﴿5﴾
Those are on [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. (English: Saheeh International)
They follow the guidance of their Lord and they will have everlasting happiness. (English: Sarwar)
وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَشْتَرِي لَهْوَ الْحَدِيثِ لِيُضِلَّ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَيَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًا أُولَئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُهِينٌ﴿6﴾
And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead [others] from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment. (English: Saheeh International)
(In an attempt to show that God\`s revelations are only ancient legends) some people pay for meaningless tales to draw others attention away from the Quran without knowledge and treat as a matter of fun. They will suffer a humiliating torment. (English: Sarwar)
وَإِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِ آيَاتُنَا وَلَّى مُسْتَكْبِرًا كَأَنْ لَمْ يَسْمَعْهَا كَأَنَّ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ وَقْرًا فَبَشِّرْهُ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ﴿7﴾
And when our verses are recited to him, he turns away arrogantly as if he had not heard them, as if there was in his ears deafness. So give him tidings of a painful punishment. (English: Saheeh International)
When Our revelations are recited to them, they turn back on their heels out of pride as if they did not hear them or their ears had been sealed off. Warn them of the painful torment. (English: Sarwar)
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتُ النَّعِيمِ﴿8﴾
Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds - for them are the Gardens of Pleasure. (English: Saheeh International)
The righteously striving believers will enter Paradise (English: Sarwar)
خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا وَعْدَ اللهِ حَقًّا وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ﴿9﴾
Wherein they abide eternally; [it is] the promise of Allah [which is] truth. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. (English: Saheeh International)
wherein they will live forever. It is the true promise of God. He is Majestic and All-wise. (English: Sarwar)
خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ بِغَيْرِ عَمَدٍ تَرَوْنَهَا وَأَلْقَى فِي الْأَرْضِ رَوَاسِيَ أَنْ تَمِيدَ بِكُمْ وَبَثَّ فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ دَابَّةٍ وَأَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَنْبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِيمٍ﴿10﴾
He created the heavens without pillars that you see and has cast into the earth firmly set mountains, lest it should shift with you, and dispersed therein from every creature. And We sent down rain from the sky and made grow therein [plants] of every noble kind. (English: Saheeh International)
He has created the heavens without pillar as you can see, fixed the mountains on earth so that it may not shake you away, and settled therein all types of living creatures. We have sent down water from the sky and made all kinds of plants grow in gracious pairs. (English: Sarwar)
